you should all drop into regular mod, that sounds like it'll be more fun. Alex is also mod if he runs RS3s, right? As of now, I think you three are the only ones running in Super Mod... Auto-Podium everytime

^^^ agreed. Ill be in Mod for sure this year. I dont want to be in super mod when all the competiton is in mod. But more than likely ill still run NT01s. Maybe not at first, it is my goal to change my setup this year.
BTW...are rs3's in stock? I nees to look around asap

^ No. The assessment of 1.75 points for NT01 is based on RS3 being a free modification. At the end of the day, RS3 are street tires that are affordable (much cheaper than its competitors) and now readily available. We had this same dillemma when Star Specs were considered "cheater tires" and the fact of the matter is that street tires are continuing to evolve and get better. It is simply the new standard.
If we wanted to be strictly legalistic, we would make RE050 free mods and assess points for Star Specs, RE11, AD08, RS3, and so forth.

If you are referring to the performance drop-off from fresh to used, according to Mike and Mark, it is not as significant as some people claim. There is no way we can account for people running a fresh shaved set of any tire (RS3 or NT01 or R1R or AD08) at every race. This is something we will attempt to control next year in Spec class as we will limit the number of sets of a spec tire for the season.
