I get 6 days NP. But in a competetion, it only makes sense to use two sets which defeats the purpose of tires being cheaper (last longer)....youre going to use 2 sets to stay competitive... I know I would.

Chris: a 2-set limit may not be the cheapest, but it's better than no limit at all.

Let's be real. This sport is not cheap. This 2013 Spec class has a cost of entry that exceeds $10,000, not including the price of the car.
I am probably one of the most cost sensitive competitors in the series, and I have still found it more practical to have two sets of wheels, rather than run on RS3 (or NT01 or whatever my competition tire is) on the street every day.

^^^ I'm in stock class and I have two sets of wheels too. I DD my car on ventus V12 Evos with 17x9 ulrs and track on the stock rims with RE-11s.

I would prefer not to have a tire limit, but as long as we can have 2 sets, I don't think it would change how I would go about it. I suppose if I wanted more sets, I could buy a personal set for a 2nd set of wheels. Then I could use that set for any session that didn't count or for those sessions not ideal to set your fastest time (ie mid day summer), pulling the transponder of course.

Point is, people who want to be as competitive as possible will already have an extra set of wheels, regardless of what the spec tire is.
Also, what I mean is I have no need for two sets of rims. I dont drive mine on the streets far/frequent enough to need them. I was going to, but there was no need (for sale right now ).
Anyway, I really like the point system this year and you guys did a GREAT job on it. I may switch things up a bit this year

Its not really a secret, but you would have to de-mod A LOT to do what I would like to do this year.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Mike T. He'd end up in Super Mod if he used r-comps. Or, he could use RS3s, which he did last year...
Since he was part of the rules committee, I'm guessing he'll be in Mod on RS3s like this year.
