I didn't know SV had scales. The scales we used at SOW last Dec. belonged to Jim Tway. Maybe we should just all get together and kick in a few bucks for a set of 4 wheel scales that would belong to the SV S2K Challenge and we would bring to every event.

The scales cost around $1500. Even if it were split among 30 people, it'd be $50 per person. Then we'd need to build ramps, so we don't have to deal with jacking the car. That would mean someone would have to bring it in their trailer. It becomes messy. Better to have SV pay for it and maintain it, and give them the $10 to weigh the car if necessary or out of curiosity.

^^^ OK. I didn't understand that SV was buying a set of scales. It will be good for SV in the long run, they will rent them over and over the way they rent the AMB transponders over and over. You guys should really consider buying your own AMB transponder. Yeah, they cost almost $400, but then you don't keep having to pay the rental fee. SV does charge $10 per weekend even if you have your own AMB, which pizzes me off, but that's life.

^It's my first kart race this weekend! Just passed OLT and scrutineering today, barely. They said I had excellent lines but bad awareness of other drivers around me. The karting association guy was like "you picked a helluva weekend to start, mate" (because it's a multi kart-club race meeting that will have entrants from all parts of New South Wales). I'm scared shitless...

Nam, you definitely do look boss going through that turn...I miss you guys With so many Street Class competitors, I'm so jealous I couldn't attend...will have to follow it all through the forum instead.
