As an ex- NT05 user I can attest that he's right...anything over 35 makes that center tread block wear really fast...learned that the hard way
Nam, now that I'm running Z1's, what pressure should I be at??

Any other RS-3 users?

Yes. I feel the RS-3's have more lateral grip than the NT05's. I ran both at 37 hot.
I may have to find someone to do a tire swap with for a session at the next s2k challenge.

Here's my story...
Session 1 --> went by really fast, just getting comfortable. Time to instruct Kenneth in his Porsche Cayman...man what a neutral handling car with traction control made in heaven!
Session 2 --> I started pushing (vid posted below) and finally broke 2 minutes for the first time ever! Sadly I also boiled my brake fluid so I had to do a brake bleed with Nam (thanks buddy!). Even more sadly I set up my start/finish wrong on my G2X so the official time was a 2:01 something. My good spirits were damaged for sure and now it was getting really hot! Nam and I compared G2X plots and he told me to stop lifting at turn 2 like a noob...noted! Oh no I missed my session with Kenneth.
Session 3 --> it was really hot and I was pissed for having setup my G2X wrong so I started driving aggresively...result? cracked a rotor and worse lap times! Time to make it up to Kenneth for ditching him in Session 2. Cara (girlfriend) informed me of that fact that the rotor was cracked when she went to buy me gas, oh no! 10 minutes left till Session 4 starts! Now my spirits were really in the shitter.
Session 4 --> with the help of Mike (thanks buddy!) I was able to replace my front rotor and get out there for the last 4 laps of the session and post my best time of 1:59.51 to take 2nd place, barely losing 1st place by 1/10th of a second. Sadly I didn't catch it on camera because I was in too much of a rush.
After --> Since I ran out of gas, I borrowed Mike's car (since it is also a CR) to take a friend of Konstatin's (forgot his name) out for a few laps...keeping up with Konstatin was nearly impossible in Mike's car, but it sure was a blast...there's something about driving someone else's car that makes you more comfortable pushing...that seems counter intuitive, weird.
ACS Roval is fast becoming one of my favorite tracks.
Even though I didn't capture my fastest lap of the day, this one from session 2 is pretty close...

Thanks to Cara, Ben, Becky, Nam, Sarang, Mike, Ed, Ginger, Mark, Mike, Alex (and his neverending birthday pizza), Chris, Konstantin and everyone else that makes these events so damn fun! How's that for friends?

Passing a Ferrari...just another day at the track
There was a guy in a seriously built Noble M400 at this event. That should be one of the fastest tub frame cars in the world. I kept catching him in the turns in my basically bone stock S2k on street tires, and I'm not the fastest guy out there. Of course he blasted away from me on the straights.

I run a LOT of track days, and I find there are a lot of slow Ferrari and other exoticar drivers. Passing someone you don't know at an HPDE doesn't really mean anything. There are a very large variation in driving skills at these events.
