Default 17X 9s and 275/40s

Are most racers running 17x9 in the rear w 275/40s? do they fit in a car w stock suspension? I wasnt gettin many answers in the tire forum.

I don't know about "most" but it's a popular combination as long as you get the right offset. +63 as on the 17x9 CE-28Ns works well. They will fit on a car with stock suspension although some slight rubbing may occur. That is sometimes dependent on tire selction as some 275s are wider than others. You might find that you'll have to roll your fenders for clearance as well.

I ran 275 Kumho MXs and RAs on CE28s--both will rub. Fortunately it only takes a $10 bat and an hour or so to get 'em to fit.

You jack up the car a few inches (just enough to fit the bat inbetween the tire and the inside of the fender) and roll the bat back and forth on the lip of the fender....do this for 45 min slowly pushing the fender out (you do it slowly so you don't crack the paint).
