10k budget on track only car
want to get a track only vehicle and have a budget of $10,000
needs to be RWD and plenty of parts readily available and preferably inexpensive
Id like to have something with some decent power so I don't feel like I'm stepping down from the s on the track.
gimme your thoughts

$10k on top of an s2k or 10k total?
10k will barely get you an old s2k.
10k will barely get you an old s2k.
so.. used car + upgrades = 10k track car

well this is the s2k forum I'd say a miata or rx7. Look for an old used race car.
But none are gonna be as fast as an s2k.
Well if you're a really good driver you can lap a good spec miata (tho it will cost a lot more than 10k too) in about the same time as a stock s2k on ra1s.
But I'd expect for 10k to find a car that laps 2-5secs/lap slower than a 20k s2k (10k car+ 10k mods).
