Haven't heard of a work around to removing the passenger weight sensor. Hope you find a solution.

Anyone know if the airbag is disabled by removing the sensor?

There have been a few people who swapped the passenger weight sensor over to Buddy Club rails, takes quite a bit of work though and the extra space required for the sensor will prevent you from getting the lowest seating position.

As far as I know, there is no way to elimate the passenger weight sensor with a simulator. The driver side is a lot easier to work around if that is the only seat you are replacing.
