Default '04 equivelant size/offset aftermarket wheels?

Has anybody found a reasonably priced, reasonably light aftermarket wheel that is close to stock '04 sizes?

I've been looking for a used OEM set with no luck. Doesn't have to meet SCCA 1/4" rule, but I'd like pretty close or idcentical to stock offsets and widths...

According to PoweredByCamry, the stock offsets are 55 mm in front, and 65 mm in back. Sounds like the Volks are Stock legal -- the next question is whether they clear the brake calipers...

Edit: I didn't notice when I posted above that the Volks are a half inch wider than the stock wheels, so they're not legal for SCCA Stock autocross. They might still work for pfb's application, though.

The stock widths are 7" and 8.5", so that rules out the volks.

Mugen has the MF10 in 17x8.5 +59 and the M12 and NR in 17x7 +50 and +53. Those specs would make them stock legal, but I wouldn't call any of those reasonably priced.

I've not found anything yet, and not for lack of trying

If you look at my post further down the thread that Steve linked, OEM Acura TSX rims are spot on up front (17x7 +55), but heavy (21lbs) and no word on caliper clearance. OEM '97+ NSX wheels would work out back (17x8.5 +60) but are also 21lbs, hard to find, etc.

Used OEM '04 wheels are still hard to find, new ones are very close in price to what Kodiak or CCW would charge for a custom, but with guaranteed nightmare resale value.

Mebbe not much help in what you're looking for, but I had to pull my stocks off to use for Autocross so I went with an Enkei RPM2 in what they call gunmetal black (not really - see my photo album) for my daily drivers. The only issue is that it's 17x7 fronts and 17x8 rears but the Potenza RE050s fit on them and the car still feels well-planted. The offset, however, is about 45 mm and the weight is about 17 lb. I got them from a local Discount Tire for about $225 per wheel.

Thanks for the advice- I thought of doing that but in the end I'd spend about the same amount anyway and I just prefer the way OEM wheels look for the street. I've been doing a lot more research, and I'm actually starting to get somewhere. The front seems to have some options, but the rear is turning out to be a real pain. Another possible used-OEM type fit for the front would be the '97+ Mazda Millenia S wheel, which is 17x7 +55 and around 20lbs it sounds like. It has the right drilling, but not sure about caliper clearance or centerbore. Also not sure if the S2000 has a bigger centerbore up front than the TSX. Anyone know the actual centerbore diameters for the S2000?

Another wheel I'm looking at is Team Dynamics. They list a 17x7 +50 offset for the S2000- I called them to ask if they'd actually tested it and they said they were "pretty sure" it would fit. I can get the 17lb Pro Race model for $150/wheel and then just splurge on the rear for a set of new OEMs or maybe even custom Kodiaks. It would look pretty ghetto, but I'm used to having mixed f/r race wheels on my MR2

I'll let everyone know if I find something that works.

Peter
