Would 4.44 bring AP1 to AP2 level?

Would 4.44 bring AP1 to AP2 level?
I've now driven 4 AP1's in the past few weeks..one was an '02 and the
other three were '03's.
I've now concluded just by nothing in regards to actual data but my
"seat-of-the-pants" feel that my '06 AP2 is much more powerful down
low than three of the AP1's.
I don't know if the one AP1 that seemed as fast/faster than my AP2 was
geared..but I have suspicions as it were the only one visible lowered too.
Keep in mind..this was rpms up to about 6K so VTEC wasn't really a factor..
but in the rpms up to 6K my AP2 was just quicker/faster and felt much
stronger to me.
My question..could gearing one of the AP1's with say 4.44 bring this car up
to the quick/fast level of my AP2?(keep in mind..the AP2 is completely stock).
other three were '03's.

Thank you for reply!
You just confirm what someone had told me(someone that has driven
many ap1's and ap2's and is also an expert on gearing)....
I just wanted to get some other feedback.

This would only compensate for the gearing difference between the ap1 and ap2. If you factor in the increase in torque of the ap2 and the increase in RPMs in the ap1, then you have to bump the gearing to 4.77's.

Ap1 with 4.3 is just about equal to ap2 tranny gearing 1-5
4.44 would give a slight edge to the ap1 over a stock gear ap2

I mean the ap1 is revving freer than the ap2 anyway and now you're going
increase(reduce FD) like 14%....
so at a given RPM.5K.. the ap2 will easily be at say 37mph while the ap1 will have to
VTEC to reach that speed 'cause of the FD change...wrong?..right?
The 2.2 just seems so much stronger!

Maybe you guys will find this to be of some help. It's what I used to determine which aftermarket gear set the previous owner put into my car. They have AP1s and AP2s among a few other cars as options.
