Default were to buy 04+ reatiners for ap1

So i want to replace all my reatiners now, i have a 00 ap1, stock f20c engine.

hitting the track very heavy this year and want to address this now.

from what i've seen, the 00 ap1 retainer is weak, honda replaced it in the 04 with
14765-PRB-A01

now what keeper do i get, and were can i order them online. My local honda dealerships are very very horrid and i refuse to let them touch my car.

thanks

well i used hondapartsnow off google, 90$ for the keepers/cotters and retainers for 04-07, do i need to adjust my valve seat you think ? or can i just use the stock ap1 valve springs/valve seat height, etc, and just put in the new 04/04 cotters?

14765-PRB-A01 and 14781-PCX-004

AP1 keepers are not week. They crack only after being mechanically over reved. If you are going to replace them, might as well replace them with the latest version of the keepers which is the AP2 stuff.

The European market 04 and later 2.0L uses the same AP2 keeper BTW

good deal, yea i know there not defective, but it gives me a little peace of mind, and Honda themselves did in fact chance the retainers themselves.

alos for 100$ shipped for all the keepers and all the retainers, cant go wrong
