Titanium exhaust input

I disagree with the comments above.
A 40# weight loss on a low torque car thats nearly already maxed out from the factory (in terms of power) is definitely worthwhile.
Can you still get the LiteSpec catback? If not, buy a used Ti catback.

LOL. it's far from maxed out from factory in terms of power.

The weight saving is not that big of a deal unless your car is a race car with gutted interior and cf doors. The 9lb full titanium Amuse R1000 (70mm) I was only getting 230whp and 158in-lb; albeit it's $2400.00 exhaust. On the other hand, the 29lb stainless steel Berk's 3in (76mm) header back I'm now getting 236whp with 162in-lb and it's $600.00.
So a difference of $1800 for 20 pounds worth of weight, but you also didn't get the 6whp and 4in-lb. So it's upto what you want. Plus Ti exhaust are prone to crack at the welds under high temperature condition (i.e track days).
Don't get me wrong, I like the titanium exhaust; $H1T is cash and baller-status for sure. I had lots of compliment for my Amuse but in the end I sold it for Berk's cuz i needed money LOL!
here's some pics

The Litespec is/was an excellent exhaust. I ran one for a while before my old-man ears made me go back to stock. It cost me like $600 new, made good power, and saved 40 pounds over the stock exhaust. If you can find one and don't mind volume, buy it.

You can gain more than 10% from an intake, HFC, exhaust, and tune, but the lightest exhaust is only going to reduce weight by about 1%.

Thanks everyone for your inputs.
I was leaning toward making my own in the beginning.
But like to get more inputs.
I do have access to laser welding machine, and raw materials.
I'll post my result, if I ever get to that point.

I have an amuse r1 dual and i loved it untill the resonator cracked. This is a common problem with this exhaust and the common fix is to remove the resonator and weld in a titanium pipe. I have been looking all over for the ti tubing I need and can't find a US supplier.. And you say you have raw materials. So do you have tubing I could use to fix my exhaust??

Sure. I might be able to get one for you. Probably not going to be seamless.
If you can get me a CAD drawing. Preferably using Solidworks. That'll be great.
