S2000 causing issues when fueling
Hi guys, I have a 2005 Honda S2000 and I bought the car a year ago with a persistent issue. The issue is that every time I fuel up, my car needs to be gassed in order to start. Car also turns off on me while driving and stalls out if I turn the A/C on and run it with A/C for too long. I’ve been fighting with this issue to be resolved and no matter what I do it won’t go away. Went to a handful of mechanics and no one knew what the issue was because The car starts right up because “obviously it only does it when I fuel up”. Anyway I decided to take things into my own hands and so far i have changed my battery, adjusted valves, installed a New 255 fuel pump, did the airpump delete, fixed any blown fuses. I don’t know what else to try. The car sometimes when shutting off starts to sputter and just vibrates unless I turn the key back on and off but doesn’t occur always. I’m stressed about this and I just want the car to run normal again. Anything helps
guys, thanks in advance

Any CEL? How does car drive to redline? Why do you have a 255 pump? Is car tuned? Did you replace 1:1 fuel regulator? Did you verify fuel pressure before/after pump replacement?

I have no check engine light and no cell, I’ve taken it to mechanics and they can’t get a code for the problem. I changed the fuel pump myself thinking it would be the problem. I ordered a radium fuel rail with an AEM fuel pressure regulator because now I’m starting to think the pressure regulator is bad. The car drives fine to redline the issue is when I fuel up or if I turn the A/C on, the car just decides to stall out or struggle whenever that happens or I come to a stop. I’ve had occasions where I’m driving on the highway and it just shuts off on me. Other things I can think of is bad grounds or clogged fuel lines.

Is there any way I can check if my EVAP canister has gone bad? I just recently ordered a new fuel pump relay as well since I was doing research and apparently the solders on that can go bad over time with heat causing the car to misfire on idle and stall out while driving.

Look at the S2000 technical manual on 11-130. Has the tests you need.
