Default Radiator Shroud

Hey guys,

I'm not putting on a cooling plate. I know for a fact that the shroud helps cool better. But it seems like the radiator shroud is keeping alot of the airflow into the stock intake. Can somebody comfirm? Also would it be worth it to take it off? Less effective with cooling but maybe it's better for the intake?

Thanks!

I'd leave it on, it's there for a reason.

It's there to keep most of the incoming air to go through your radiator before hitting the engine bay. Without it, your radiator will not be working to its full cooling power. Not to say you will overheat but your electric fan will try to compensate and work extra hard to cool that radiator.

I would find other ways to get cool air to your intake.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I'm wondering if taking it off would actually provide better air flow to the intake.

Keep the shroud. It is very important to the cooling system.

I prefer both but coolant temps to me are much more important than air intake temps.
