Just use oem gasket instead of provided plm gasket.
weight difference between oem and ANY header is about as much as taking a good poop. ridiculous question is ridiculous...

The header seems quite a bit lighter. There are no heat shields on it and I think the PLM is stainless which also might be lighter, but I'm not certain.
I also have the same problem as I started another thread about the PLM leak. Not a big deal. I swapped on the stock one and it lessened the leak a bit. However my donu gasket has 95k on it and is 10 years old. I'm going to order a new one today. That should hopefully fix the leak.

The reason the PLM header leaks is the the doughnut gasket sits flat to the flange where in the oem header there is a 1/4inch or so of a tapered edge before the flange that the doughnut gasket seals to. This makes it seal better and sit far enough from the flange that the 2 flanges cant touch before the round part of the gasket is seated in the cat.

d-gasket between the header and cat. i think the issue is an imperfection in the angle of the header. even with the new oem gasket the angle is slightly off. i made mine work as seen below. just replace the bolts with something that can be snugged up a bit more and you're good to go. DO NOT tighten all the way, you need some flex there.
fwiw, my attention span with this thread has waned. i believe all the necessary information has been provided in the 11 pages. redundant posts are redundant.

That is one hell of a gap, if that's the type of quality I can expect from this header i think I might be sending mine back. I'll open it up and have a look once it arrives, still on the fence here.
