My understanding is Honda does a pretty good job of porting the heads already. Seems I read someplace that was one of the top tuner complaints against Honda....stealing their thunder so to speak.

I have seen several junked heads that were "ported by a V-8 guy" and engines blown on the dyno that were tuned by "V-8 guys."
If they are not actively working on S2000s then avoid them. Very few shops are clued in when it comes to the S2000.
The heads are the way they are for many reasons. Modifying them by porting or polishing will decrease performance.
The turbo guys can gain from several changes including stainless intake and Inconel exhaust valves.
The supercharged guys can make good gains with changes too.
That being said, and you being NA. I highly recommend you save your money and don't modify the head.

Sideways... thats not really true..
all thats true if the guy doing the work doesnt know what they are doing. There are probably 3 guys in the country that can make these things better, 1 that I actually trust and he has told me that the stock head with a good valve job is fine to make use of all the cams that are on the market right now. He said once we get some real cams then it will be worth it to do a full port job.
and this talk of just a "polish" is retarded, the ONLY reason to "polish" a port is so ricers think it looks pretty.

I agree with Wadzii.
Look at Endyne head development in NA forums.
Polishing also could hurt you.
"GOOD" head guys will rough up the intake ports after porting to increase turbulance to improve fuel atomization.

Thats not exactly true.. they dont go to any efforts to "rough" the ports, they leave them be and just dont polish the ports b/c thats a waste of time.
