Why would you put such a cheap kit on an all show / no go car? Oh, wait ... I guess I answered my own question...

Damn guys! Back the fock off!
This is the second sentence in his build thread: "This time, I wanted to do a car that is more looks than go." Then gives a list of his modifications, which is quite impressive. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a 6 figure build! The only "cheap" part on the list is the ITB kit.
If someone puts $10K into a stroker motor, then tunes it with a VAFC, wouldn't you expect people to ask things like "Why spend so much on an engine, then cheap out on the ECU?!?"
FWIW, I've been following this thread for a long time, since I am definitely NOT the type to spend $3K on an ITB kit. If I ever have ITB's, it will be because I found an awesome deal. However, I asked the OP why he cheaped out on the OBX kit when it looks like he has paid absolute top dollar for the most ballin' parts.

FWIW, I just looked back through this thread, and see that I've posted several "positive" comments about this thread. The only post I've made that was only slightly negative was the one after seeing his build thread with all the baller parts.

You should know that other ITB's are much more expensive because the shops add the R&D costs to these parts. "Chinese copies" are cheaper because the don't have to deal with that and the manufacturing costs are way cheaper in asia.
You can argue about quality issues, tolerances, reliability probs but to state that these are only for "show & shine" just because the price is "cheap" is a little bit arrogant.
I have read Chris' comments about the set that came to his hands. This is expertise enough for me to consider these ITB's.

gernby, the only reason I got the OBX was because I never did ITB before. The fuel here in Turkey is not as good and also this is the first ITB S2000 here so tuning it was going to be a pain. I thought, if the outcome of the ITB is not as I expected, I could just take it off and be done with it. The only risky park on the car was that ITB and I wouldn't take a risk for $3000 Jenvey or Toda but for $700, the risk can be taken
At the end, I am happy with the kit. It is not any different than other brands
