16:1? wow wtf? I'm a tuning noob, but I was under the impression that was well into the danger zone?
yes it hit 16:1; this was before I was tuned... it was corrected when I was tuned

I agree with your VTEC comments, the 100% was just an example. I'm not even sure what mine was set to when I was tuned NA.

Out of curiosity, who is your tuner?

I left the NA realm a while ago so I've been out of touch for a while, just remember the basics.

IMO, the aem ems is a bit overkill for your setup. BUT...with that said, it is the best tuning device out there and you will see the most gains from it over any of the other systems.

you'll get some good gains out of it, but i wouldn't expect 20 hp on an ap2....should beef up the midrange and give some solid tq numbers too though.

and dropping vtec as a lot to do with your header as well. i don't know what the limits of the t1r are, but i'd be curious to see your dyno afterwards. with good headers likes the Js or toda, you can go pretty low. with a midrange header like mine ( Ricks ) the car didn't like anything below 5500. you'll have to play with the vtec to see what works best for the car.
