i was going to get an aftermarket revlimiter(bee*R limiter) i was thinking 8400 - 8500 maybe less i want to see where the power drops off on the dyno after im done....but i obviously wasnt going to rev to 9 with increased displacement....i know that this in theory is like doing a stroker build and i know the risks involved

the richer you run the better. vafc can remove fuel well but its tough to add fuel. i think the stock ecu will freak out. like others said, replace the retainers on your ap1 head with oem ap2 retainers. car should run well. you will gain a little midrange. big thing is, either get gears for the rear or put an ap2 tranny in. ap1 gearing is TALL.

the AP1 tranny works better with the bigger f22 engine IMO

The longer 1-4 in the AP1 tranny helps with the added torque from the larger displacement

Remember watching a vid when they tested the new Ap2 and how an AP1 tranny would be ideal for track use.

ap2 tranny with 4.10 gears is like ap1 tranny with i think 4.44 or 4.57s.

But the AP1 6th gear is even shorter which is kinda crazy. I already hate how high is rev's just cruising down the freeway. Such a waste

That first video is not accurate. You can tell the other driver either mid shifted or stopped racing. No gears will that much harder than stock. That's like a boosted car racing a stock one.

Here is what you NEED to do:

1) Get AP2 Retainers
2) Use the AP1 Cams (more power; LostMotion has commented on it)
3) Get a Supertech Block Guard so you can savely rev to 9k (Supertech Block Guard)

That is what you NEED to do to run safely.

What I would do:

1) Swap the AP2 Pistons for the AP1 Pistons. Raised the CR to 12:1
2) DO NOT use the Spoon Head Gasket and sell it
3) Use the money to get a REAL EMU (Greddy, AEM, K-Pro)
4) Get a REAL Header (Toda, J's, etc)
5) Tune that bitch and make 250 whp (It can be done!)

thank you very much for the advice for real!

ive already started to swap over the retainers from the ap2 head to the ap1 head....as for getting a real managment system that will happen over the winter...i honestly just want to get my car back up and running so i can enjoy whatever is left of summer....i agree with using the Ap1 pistons that was gonna be my plan although i had some worries about touching the valves with the pistons. yes a real header is on the way wether it be J's or T1R and i havent purchased the spoon headgasket yet!

once again guys thank you for all the advice and suggestions.....i will have an up date in the very near future!
