Default Intake question

I just picked up an 03 S2K and Im looking to get a little more power out of it nothing too crazy...anyways i currently have the aem cold air intake and I was wondering about getting something else like the password jdm full intake system or the ARC box with the chamber .......now my question is would I see any significant gains in hp im only looking for like between 5-8

The Pjdm carbon fibe is baller, but just throw on a test pipe if your only looking for a few hp.

you will lose power with the ARC. The PWJDM might gain you some power when you are going 60+ as it has a small "ram-air" impact. I believe with that intake you can create up to 1.05 atmospheres or so in the intake manifold. I guess that makes it forced induction.

buy a high-end header, test pipe, and/or exhaust instead.

you'd only gain a few (less than 5) whp by upgrading from AEM CAI to a PWJDM, and those run about a grand, don't they? Get a nice header or a test pipe + exhaust and keep the CAI--you'll be ahead.

if you research some of the import tuning magazines who had done their own dyno test on an 03 s2k, the best gains comes from aem cai, a good quality exhaust, headers, different types of spark plugs, motor oil, and a few affordable upgrades. I've seen some where the total improvement was btw 10-12 hp.

it won't outperform the aem cai, at least not measurably

sorry, if im going off topic. but, the k&n used a plastic mold that is less likely to heat soak. doesnt the aem uses a metal tube that can cause heat soak?
