Don't let the naysayers faze you. Sometimes people are overzealous about knocking people/products rather than actually reading the thread and raising valid points

I wasn't there, and I agree that +25 is entirely doable with a proper tune. Maybe people are just using the wrong tuner

Well i made 201hp last month on NASA's spec dynojet. This is the dyno they use to ensure that all spec race cars are putting out the same hp. I had all the exact same parts on... this time i cleaned my air filter, replaced oem plugs, and changed out oil... i dyno 204hp on a dyno jet.

Here is the complete dyno from december.. they put it on and run it. no funny business.. no hook ups. this is how they test every car.

i made 201 then.. 204 saturday.. whats not to believe?

Thanks

I had up until a few months ago a comptech supercharger on.. it was quick and made the car totally different. I took it off because my city driving mpg went to crap. i live very close to where i work and my car never hits the third bar. it runs really rich until warmed up and i burned gas like mad. also i quickly ate up my up until then perfect clutch and even tore my motor mounts. I enjoy driving the car and want it to run great and be reliable for a very long time... i felt like i was setting myself up for a more extensive maintenance ritual.

i put in a new oem clutch, flywheel, and motor/trans/diff mounts... it runs and feels like new

its no where near as fast but its plenty quick.. runs perfect.. and i know will last much longer with my change of heart.

Does Mase ever fly out somewhere and tune a bunch of cars? If he ever came to Denver, Salt Lake etc I would love to take a road trip and get a decent tune.

Thumbs up to Mase and Hytec.

I haven't put my '08 AP2 on a dyno yet, but I do have a "soft" dyno using datalogs. I can post screen shots, but they wouldn't be comparable in any meaningfull way to yours. However, I do feel confident that I'm putting down about the same as yours or more, so I'm not insecure about it. I've also raised the rev limit to 8500, so there's not as much difference in revs as you think.

Here is the before / after from my '02. My bolt-ons were an AEM V1 and a test pipe for both pulls, so the only difference was the tune.

The way the midrange is smoothed out is lovely! exactly that is what I need on my car

what do you run with Nasa?

at some point I'm gonna switch to TTC, put an AEM and maybe a header and take it down to Mase to tune
