I just don't see how it would be possible that your car was only putting down 204 with all those bolt-ons, then 229 after just a tune. I gained significant power from bolt-ons alone, then the tuning just filled in the blanks. I think there is some significant "testing error" here.
no testing errors at all.

dyno'd on stock ecu and made 204. popped in aem ems, then tuned on pump gas to 229.

mase is a good tuner and hytech is a good header

I'm not at all surprised to see those numbers.

Figure a tune on a stock S can gain 15 or so (going off the Giles pre-tuned Emanage)...throw in the Hytech and a good tune - a 25hp gain isn't at all unbelievable.

I've heard of a stock S with a custom tune putting down gains of 20+...that, however, I don't find quite as credible

I'm not worried about your car. I'm worried about the misinformation. Testing error is unavoidable. Ascerting that you gained 25 HP peak from a tune alone makes me believe there is significant testing error (different day, different dyno, different dyno operator, different results)
recap.

on jan 23 at approx 230pm.

car was rolled onto the dyno with aem ems installed, as well as all other mods already mentioned.

car was tuned to 229 on a dynojet.

then aem ems was removed, and stock ecu was installed.

car was started up, allowed to sit for a bit running, then rolled on the dyno 3 pulls on stock ecu.

all were around 204. i think one was 199, one was 203ish, and one was 204. the highest was quoted

then we overlayed them in the dyno software. i wish i had a DAMN usb drive with me i woulda snatched the files and showed everyone.

all this was done with in a 2 hour block.

cant get more comparo then this. ap1s dyno under 200 typically on dynojets before tunes.

SICK NUMBERS from hytech and aem ems.

whats funny is i think i maxed out the filter on my kit. i made more tq then i ever have before in the mid range, but top end was about the same as with less boost. sooo, got some new intake parts coming to mess wiht and see if i can get better setup.

u missed J's car on the hi boost pulley, 388!!!!!!!!

as soon as i get the dyno files gonna post them up!

I was there too.

When Mase was dynoing my car, he was using STD correction (not SAE). I remember him clearly saying he ALWAYS uses STD correction.

I had all the runs in my USB but Mase deleted them while downloading them to his laptop

Its all in the tune
