I wouldn't bother with ap2 retainers. If you are going to do the work put aftermarket springs and retainers in it and turn it 9500.
and his engine didn't even last a day at the track

I wouldnt use the supertech valves, IMHO the stock stuff is plenty good.
I put 12k miles on my supertech springs/retainers reving to 9600 rpms with no issues at all. I had the valve cover off a few days before i parked it and everything looked brand new. This is with brian crower 3 cams also.

To update the thread I've been running the engine with AP2 retainers with the ignition cut at 9300 and fuel cut at 9500 for over a year now.
Although I haven't put much mileage on it I've done maybe 6 track events and a bunch of auto-x without problems.
I overeved it pretty hard on downshifts to between 9500/10000 rpm's a few times as well.
Anyways just had the valves inspected/adjusted they said a few where out of spec but nothing major.

Been over 53k km that im reving at 9100 on my f22c, been boosted last summer and still dont have any prob, but this summer ill change my valvetrain for a aftermarket one, titanium retainer and stiffer springs, and probably rebuild my f20c spare longblock in case if the f22 decide to die lol
