How do you know if you're 'over-camming' the motor

I would say there is such a thing as not getting full potential from your cams. Example may be a stock motor with a stg3 cam. Better flowing head, needed valvetrain, more compression, better volume intake and sized and straight exhaust, and very improtant engine management and tuner only add to the cams potential.
