Grounding points
Ok so I just got done upgrading to a 2.2 in my00 and I was wondering if anyone could take a look at how many grounding points there are in there engine bay as I am having issues with my car running. My mechanic buddy told me that if you dont have all the grounds hooked up then it could cause your car not to run right or not run at all. So I have one from the trans, 2 block to frame and one from the wire harness to the intake mani. I was told there is one that goes straight to the head from the harness aswell but I cant seem to find the grond wire. Can anyone shed some light if theres supposed to be one there and if not then how many and where.
Thanks

the ground behind the head is the g101 and it is the main engine harness ground. the car wont start if this ground is not/improperly connected.
as an alternative you can route that ground to some other point.

^ Yeah the G101 is the one I forgot to tighten down all the way when I swapped short blocks. I plugged in a scanner to my OBDII port and the car would start, then when I unplugged it, it wouldnt. I finally found that one which btw is a PITA.

I had this same issue when i first got my car. It wouldn't start if i took out the progressive snapshot device out of the OBD2 port.
I finally gave up and took it to the dealership and turned out that it was the grounding cable where the engine and tranny meet. Apparently the device was actually grounding the ECU and would let me start the car.
Now I'm thinking of disconnecting the same ground cable and use the OBD2 port as a "kill switch."
