Call Endyn and have him send you pistons and rods...

Exactly what I was thinking. Do you know if they have FRM compatible pistons, or do they sleeve the block?

Endyn sleeves the block.

It looks like builders are shying away from aftermarket pistons with FRM liners.

This was one of my options. I'm guessing they are the Woessner stroker pistons. ( the ones with the reduced compression height so you can use AP1 rods with an AP2 crank). Whose rods are they?

What type of RPM have you used with this setup?

These are Woessner pistons and Carrillo rods. But for a F20C that I'm currently building.
The rods are a bit overdimensioned for this build, but I couldn't get the A-beam rods from Carrillo in time.
Block is bored to 87.5mm and honed.

My own F20C has the same pistons and Carrillo A-Beam rods that are lighter. I'm rev'ing 10,500 rpm. Haven't had any problems yet.

Here in Germany are only a few 2.2l engines. So the chance to built one is very small.

Bernd,

Are you using the Carillo pro-A or pro-SA rods in your high revving build?

10500rpm, when does your motor start dropping power?

Carrillo Pro-A.

The oszillating Mass is a bit higher than the OEM rods. But the Pistons and the pins compensate this.

The engine is dropping power after 8,000 rpms. My guess is the OEM camshafts and the Intake Manifold are the bottlenecks.

I'm currently working with Mahle to produce a frm friendly piston for the f20c.

the piston is designed to use the ap2 2.2liter crank with ap1 rods. The compression height was shortened so the piston to deck height is the same as the factory setup (+1mm out of the hole) They will net approx 12.5:1 compression.
