F20c with ap2 trans..? or F22c with ap1 trans.?

is ap1 + ap1 and ap2+ap2 available? Personally between the two choices you listed, I would prefer the F20C1 with the AP2 tranny, but if possible i'll keep the AP2/AP2 combo. I don't need the 9k

AP2 engine w/ 8600rpm rev-limiter, AP1 trans (closer ratios) for me.

F20 engine with f22 head and tranny FTW
This I would do (and will do when I can $$)
The best for speed and gearing is proabably F22 with F20 tranny but the synchros arent as good and wont endure as well but I think the F22 is a better engine for speed in general
It really comes down to personal preference and driving style, I think..

The F22 package is better all the way around. The motor produces more power per rpm, it’s a tighter tolerance motor, with less oil consumption trends, of course it has the upgraded oil bolts like the last series F20, it has a better top end with upgraded valve keepers and retainers. I run mine to 9k, so there is no benefit to an F20 as far as rev limit, the F22 has proven to take it happily. The Ap2 rear end can take more abuse being they have beefier carrier bearing caps where the majority of failures occur . The trans has carbon coated sinkros for smoother shifting. And it has a primary gear reduction which gives the first 4 gears a slightly lower gear ratio for quicker response, wile a higher 5th/6th gear for lower rpm hwy cruising and higher top speed should you need it
