hey guys building a all motor f20c1 and like some input..last week i had nitrous back fire and blew my motor so building my other block
before i had sotck bottom end and head had supertech valvetrain, skunk2 tuner2s,stock intake mani,stock tb,stock intake system,with hytech header,invidia catback and test pipe on aem ems version1
made 230.46whp
and on 75 shot made 271whp

now building block looking go with
mahle 12.5 87.25mm
should i go with BC or k1 rods--------
valvetrain,skunk2 cams going have intake mani opend ported
skunk2 70mm tb
same exhaust
custom intake made with velocity stack

its ap1 with ap2 trans and puddy modd stage 1.5rear end with 4.77

and would like to do 125wet shop if not happy with the all motor power well see

like some input what think or build and what rods should i go with ordering piston rod combo tomorrow

and should i port and polish head i been reading up and everyone saying dont touch them they dont like taking any more material off these heades they say just give it nice polish what everyone think

How long did you run nitrous for and what do you think caused the back fire??

sucks dude i tuned car satuday morning saturday night first run i raced na didnt spray when came end race hit bottom by accident lol sucks didnt even get spray it but before that i was spraying 50 shot with sotck head and cams made 215 n 242 on 50 shot was zex dry then motor loved it went threw like 10 bottles in less than 2 months i race alot

and before than i had another stock motor but on stock ecu spraying 50 shot went threw alottt of nitrous but ended up melting cylinder4 piston a plug melted and i didnt no and i kept spraying but the bottle is alot of fun ive always been turbo guy and was gonna turbo the s2 but deciding stay n.a. and maybe bottle after build and see what makes

If you want to make sure nitrous is safe get some 100 or 105 octane gas, and run spark plugs as cold as the engine can stand. it makes a big difference.

look for a bkr9eix (2669) is probably what you'll want.

where are you located? I'd love to test those skunk cams

im in rhode island and i am running the 9s now i meltd a 8.

I used a 2668 when spraying my 75 shot. I'd say I went through about 10 nitrous bottles myself. Never had an issue. Car runs strong to this day
