I know when you remove the stock airbox lid you lose performance but isn't the KN Fipk somewhat similiar to having the stock airbox lid remove? It seems like people feel a better throttle response with the KN but won't it heat soak just like having the stock lid off?
So do you actually lose power with the KN fipk or not? Im actually thinking about purchasing one but It looks like it actuallty will hurt performance over the stock airbox. Can people with the intake share some of their experience? Thanks in advance

I have had the fipk for about 2 months now and i LOVE it. Not only does it not lose power but it gains around 5whp, but will vary. The sound at WOT is amazing and when you do it for the first time you won't think its actually your car. It is a great first mod as it was my first performance one.
