A Couple of Quick PWJDM Intake Questions
1. Does this intake come with a risk of hydrolock? It seems like the snorkle doesn't go down as far as other CAIs.
2. How hard is it to get to the air filter once installed? I'm not a DIY guy when it comes to cars... not necessarily due to lack of ability, but more for lack of space (and experience). I live in a townhouse, so no garage. That being said, I pay someone to do oil changes, etc. I would expect that if my mechanic were to open the hood, he would think to himself "what the hell is this whale penis doing here?" I'm thinking it will be easier for me to just clean the filter myself.
Thanks in advance.

Every intake has a risk of hydrolock, including the OEM intake. However, the PWJDM doesn't have any significant risk above OEM.
The filter is easy to access, but requires you to remove probably 7 allen head screws.

the only issue you might have is actually installing the intake.
it requires you to drop the front bumper to put in the snorkle part.
it took me longer to put in the intake then it did to put on my test pipe and exhaust system.

Yeah i agree. Install takes a bit of time. Even after i got it in i went back a few days later and adjusted everything to make it clear the hood.
Gernby has a long long history with this intake. Im sure he could tell you some love/hate with it lol.

Supposedly it has been redesigned to get rid of a lot of the original fitment issues (and the "BRAP" sound)?
