Default anyone regret the catback exhaust they bought?

When I had my Ap2 S2000 I bought an Invidia V3 dual cat-back for it, used, from a fellow member. It came with the silencers but honestly why would I run it with them installed? That exhaust had tons of drone but I only drove with the top down and it sounded incredible at WOT.
I've since sold that car and the exhaust but now I have a low mileage AP1. I want to get either the Invidia Q300 or Tanabe Medalion Touring. I like the symmetry of the dual exhaust and from what I've read they are quieter than the Invidia V3.

I have already read most of the exhaust posts and watched the You Tube posts. What I would like to know is, who has been disappointed with their purchase of either of the above mentioned exhausts and why? The only thing I see wrong with the Tanabe is the extended length of the tips protruding from the rear bumper of an AP1. It just appears a little out of place, or something. Both are great value but I would be buying sight unseen and unheard.
Opinions welcomed.

Invidia V3 here. Nearly 6 years with it on the car. ZERO regrets.

I wouldn't mind an exhaust the stuck out a little further or pointed down at an angle. My Q300 tip is leaving a lot of soot on the rear bumper and it partially melted the black plastic around the tip (now covered up with a CF exhaust cap).

Other than that I love it.

I predict a lot of Invidia responses in this thread.

Personally...I'm not a big fan of droney exhausts.

On my third S2000, and went through several set ups. There are very, very few set ups that truly don't drone. One of them being the Fujitsubo Legalis-R (what I currently run).

I bought a Q300 in June last summer and I really want to get rid of it. I just really want an exhaust that sounds bearable with a test pipe and the Q300 is not that exhaust. It has insane amounts of drone and rasp with the tp. I'm actually about to reinstall the stock cat because it sounds so ricey. Volume isn't an issue with me, but how it sounds really matters since it's my dd. Plus I'm tired of being called a ricer lol

Thanks for the opinions.
I would have thought by some of the previous posts that I read prior to posting this thread that Invidia's Q300 didn't drone like the V3 or at least it wouldn't have the same issues. If I didn't have the experience of previous ownership of an Invidia I would have bought the Q300. This time 'round I just want a more aggressive dual tip exhaust note than the stock exhaust without coming home from a long cruise with a headache.
I didn't see any Tanabe touring complaints. Not a very popular exhaust? Fujitsubo was on my short list but it weighs almost the same as the stock exhaust. I want a little bit of weight savings to justify, in my mind only, replacing the stock exhaust.
