Should be interesting to see the headers on this thing!! Must be tight as hell!!!! Also do you have to go back into a single or can you run a true dual? There is only one indent on the pass side on this car for the exhaust from front to back?

yes I cut away whatever was needed to fit the motor, even the cross member is gone.....
this is a tried tested and true method of doing this swap. MANY before me have done it.
the chassis is now ready to accept the V8 engine and trans.

this is what mine looks like ... roughly
the area shown is what is deleted. minor.
and the motor plate will help as well... i believe this is why no one has had problems...
Weight, the difference in weight is minimal, the s2000 drivetrain with a complete turbo set up, is within pounds of the v8 drive train. and its mounted in almost the exact same position.
there was even 1 guy that got the same weight distribution as stock and weighing in just less then stock. lets remember I deleted A/C completely minus the evap, and pretty much all other non essential parts: cruise, air pump set up, cross member, battery in trunk, etc...

Coul an aftermarket x brace of sorts and a strut bar at the top replicate the chassis rigidity that was lost?

well first and formost I will be installing the motor and getting it up and running. once that is done I will weigh all my options for strengthening stuff back up. I was flirting with the idea of seem welding the entire front end. I just dont have the motivation to sit there and weld up all those seems haha.

I have seen one v8 swap to where the cross member brace was removed such as the OP, but then added back in further forward with a stronger tubular piece. I assumed all v8 swaps did this. Should be room, once you get the motor in and see the clearances you have, work on this fitment.
Looking forward to seeing the finished car
