Yeah, never seen a V8 with a single exit. This exhaust setup will be a restriction in power for sure. Weight savings would be minimal in comparison with power loss.

Don't quite a few different V8s not come with a true dual anyway?

Not sure how you're going about this but to minimize restriction and maintain a single exit, could you technically increase the diameter of the single pipe where the two headers meet to keep the flow the same so for example you have two two inch pipes coming from the header, you would increase the diameter to ~2.8 inches to keep the pipe volume the same.

2000 camaro ss stock is this exact set up, it goes dual to single in the same spot then back to dual for the pipes out the rear so it looks dual

a true dual exhaust on a 2000 camaro ss would be an upgrade in flow big time, and an upgrade in weight (for a 4000lbs camaro this is minimal), 2 mufflers, 2 resonators, double the amount of flanges.

so my goal here is to achieve close to stock overall weight, this is just 1 of the weight saving measures I have taken.

Aswell flow will be increased comparing to where this motor and trans came from (exhaust speaking) and this piping is mandrel bent front to back where stock is pressure and crush bent ..... again flow will increase ...

so explain how this will restrict power, when its still larger piping front to back then a stock set up and no cat? (for now)
