I'm also looking to pick up an HFC. Mostly just worried about the sound.. don't want it to be some raspy fart can lol. I plan on keeping everything else stock for a while and work on other things on the car instead of the engine mods. I already have flashpro.

Just got my Berk 63mm HFC delivered and will be putting it on my 07 pretty soon. I can't comment on power gains but I have read that the cel issue on 06+ is a hit or miss. I plan on putting an extra defouler for extra precaution like many have done. No guarantees but I'll just have to try and see.

I personally felt no gains at all with the hfc and did not throw a cel on my 06. I switched over to the test pipe and can definitely feel a power bump along with a nice crack switching over to the high cam. I do currently have a cel but I have yet to get tuned. Good luck!

I'm not familiar with the design of that exhaust. If it has a resonator in the OEM location, but does NOT have the ~8" closed ended side branch duct, then it will drone LESS with a test pipe. If it has a resonator in the OEM location, and DOES have the ~8" duct, then it will drone MORE with a test pipe. If it doesn't have a resonator in the OEM location at all, then it's going to drone with a test pipe OR HFC.
Well this is my exhaust setup with an hfc right now.. It drones more than id like so not sure if a testpipe will make a difference with it

I didn't know the Berk would throw a CEL, I also just bought one and will install it in the new year. I guess I'll take the defouler off my old testpipe! Let me know how your install goes!

So I finally installed my berk63mm TP last night and i didnt like the way it fit at all with my current exhaust... The TP is a little bit longer than the HFC I have so it pushed the B pipe and mufflers further back than the hfc did. The extra lenght caused my b pipe to lay against the frame of my car which looked and sounded like shit as I drove the car cause you can hear it hitting everything underneath my car so Im now staying with my hfc unfortunately.. My car was tuned with a flashpro and I was looking to replace it with a tp to maximize the performance but i see its not going to happen unless I have someone cut up my exhaust and make it shorter which isnt worth it to me since my exhaust was $1500 and the TP was $80 lol
