Hey guy's I got a AEM CAI V1, INVIDIA 70M EXHAUST, RICKS RACING HEADER, AND A 63M MEGAN RACING TEST PIPE..
My question is will it make a difference if i put the 70m invidia test pipe on...and how much of a difference will it be? I heard its pretty big gains..Plus I have a fuel pressure reg to bump up the fuel so it wont lean out..Also have the hondata Intake Manifold Gasket...No tune yet..But was wondering what the gains would be without a tune first??

^^ Really, I thought having an aftermarket header would allow me to drop the vtec engagement point down that low.
Still contemplating which tune to load from the flashpro(that should be here any day now).
Mods: Injen CAI, Berk 70mm TP, Greddy SE dual exhaust.
First thing I'm gonna do is datalog my stock tune and see where my A/F Ratio has been for the last 9 months(since I had my TP).
gernby, I have been reading alot of your threads on tuning and messing around with the flashpro since you got it a year ago. Hope you don't mind me sending you a PM or 2 with some questions when I do get it and start contemplating on how I want my car to respond.
(I'm actually one of those guys that wants to learn to tune it but adjusting knock and cam phasing is way above my head. I just understand A/F ratios and barely touching the "adjusting timing" for now.)

Start with the Toda calibration. Honestly, I don't even know why Hondata named it the "Toda" calibration. They should have called it the "Test Pipe" calibration. I'll post a thread about my tests soon.

I realize the the test pipe is just a pipe. I can get the Invidia 70mm w/ cel fix for $85, is there any reason i should spend another $40 for the skunk2 or even more money for another band or am i just paying for the name?

Pipe is a pipe. Really doesn't matter at all. I bought an ebay one for $35 I think. Bought an anti fouler and works perfect. I only have a 63mm exhaust. Don't know if they have any 70mm ebay cheapo test pipes.

From a performance perspective, I agree that a "pipe is a pipe". However, I've noticed that my $60 eBay test pipe seems to be such a thin gauge that I hear a whirring / whisling from it. This is with everything else stock.

That exhaust is gonna drone no matter what. A test pipe will make it louder but should reduce some of the drone. Get a test pipe to match the diameter of your exhaust.
