Just installed my indivia 70mm an hour ago, still sounds the same with the stock exhaust, maybe a little tiny bit louder at WOT but barely. I noticed a small gain on the butt dyno, deff worth the price
Are you planning to get a 70 mm exhaust to go with that 70 mm test pipe? If not, you really should have gotten the 60 mm test pipe.

That is a good practice, but I don't think there are any laws about it. I would also add a step for turning on the interior lighting. Anything you can to make the cop think you are bending over backwards to make his job easier and safer, the more likely he will be to let you off with a warning.
wow the cops sure are tough on you guys!

How did you get that? If you make it really easy on the Po-Po, and show them respect, they typically let you off with a warning. If you don't, then they just give you a ticket, and you're back on your way.

the putting keys on the dashboard sounds pretty serious in my opinion. where i am, we just wait in the car and wind down the window.

Thinking about getting a test pipe over an HFC. For those with test pipes for a long period of time now, can you comment on the smell and carbon/dust/black buildup on your bumper? I've already got a 70mm exhaust so I was thinking about getting a 70mm test pipe.

My concerns are smell and damage to my rear bumper

Thanks!

Just go ahead and get the test pipe man. I hardly ever notice a smell unless i'm sitting top down for a minute or two, even then its not bad at all. I also never have build up on my rear bumper. I wash my car minimum once every couple weeks, and I never notice anything at all. The only thing my test pipe did was turn my exhaust tips gold, but it comes right off when you polish them up.

My sense of smell is pretty poor, so I've never noticed any odors from my test pipe. However, I do get a pretty significant buildup of soot on my back bumper, probably made worse by the fact that I'm running richer than the stock tune. The soot cleans off very easily, and doesn't seem to cause any damage to the paint, even after several years. I had a test pipe on my '02 for 4 years / 75K miles.
