Installing a test pipe or HFC is really too simple to write about. You just remove 5 bolts, remove the secondary O2 sensor, swap the cat with the test pipe (or HFC) with a new rear gasket, install the bolts again, then reinstall the O2 sensor.

Now that I read that back, I think I made it sound harder than it really is.

With a lift and the right tools, a test pipe/cat swap can be as quick as 10 minutes.

i just installed an invidia Q300 and got the matching 70mm Test pipe. i did have a 63mm berk installed before and the check engine never tripped. first 5 miles with the invidia it tripped.

Not to mention the blocking of air flow with their "internal honeycomb" where the sensor is...that does absolutely nothing.

I may order another Berk, or head to autozone for my Antifouler.

Did you pull the code to make sure it is for the secondary O2 / cat efficiency, and not for something else?

Yeah, Invidia's newer cel fix is kind of a joke. When I had the same test pipe, I was able to get rid of the cel with T1R's elbow fix. Although, you have an 04, and it should be A LOT easier to keep the cel off, compared to my 06.

Hey guys, I have a 2007 and I got a CEL after installing a Berk HFC. It didn't come on for almost 100 miles after the install. It came on and remain solid while I was cruising on the freeway. Was I suppose to disconnect the battery during the install?

Anyways, I disconnected the battery, waited, and reconnected, and it went away, but I have a feeling it will come back. I have my first track day this Saturday so I don't want anything funny under the hood... so any thoughts?

^go to autozone or kragen and buy some anti-foulers.

This is what i used:

Help! 42002

i drilled out one of them to fit the o2 sensor and stacked 2 on my berk test pipe.

btw i have an 08.

sometimes when it rains or when its cold my CEL comes on but goes away.

So has anyone found a testpipe and fix that doesn't trip a CEL on an '06+ s2k? I'm thinking about buying a TP to be used with a stock header and exhaust (so I guess 63mm is the best?), but don't want to deal w/ the headache of a CEL tripping. I might consider getting a flashpro in the future, but don't want to bother with it now.

Have these prevented CEL's for folks? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Test-Pipe-F...eQ5fCarQ5fParts

Based on gernby's graph, it looks like the non-resonated TP's are the way to go.

My Berk 70mm TP trips the sensor every 300 miles. I just clear it w/ a scanner. The same code comes up regarding the oxygen sensor not being warm enough. I still need to install the wool that berk gave me to keep the sensor warmer so it doesn't trip anymore...Been lazy lately to get underneath the car. I'll get to it this weekend probably though.
