None, the exhausts that make power are loud and the tolerable exhausts don't make any power (some may even result in a loss of power), although they likely save on weight.

Just got the hks ssm. Fantastic sound, not too loud even with a test pipe and supercharger. Zero drone. None.

I basically want a slightly louder, deeper, throghtier tone than stock with WOT or on the cam, but I'd like it about the same when cruising.
And, I'm not expecting any huge hp gains

I have no idea where to ask this and have even emailed RS*R about it with no luck. I found an old review for my exhaust (RS*R Exmag GT2) from like 2002. The person said that with the silencers removed it sounded really good and made it louder. With the silencer, the exhaust is about as loud at stock. At first I was just curious what it would sound like with no silencers but I can't figure out how to take them out and can't find any info on them. Does anyone have this exhaust and know how to take them out? Do you just pull on the fin things in the exhaust? Also, I found a youtube video of someone taking them out of some generic exhaust and there was a nut holding it on. My exhaust has holes in them where it looks like that went so they are already out.

Anyone have a pic of the HKS single with a J's type S rear bumper? I'm looking for a 3" exhaust but concerned with how low it will sit below the J's bumper as it sits(or ends) higher than the factory bumper.

I was looking at my oem exhaust and how I would fab the UK mod. I noticed that the Y has to be killing exhaust flow. Honda crimped or flattened the inside profile on the duals to fit the mid pipe. This looks like a bottleneck. Have any of you fabricators looked at cutting this out and welding in a true Y pipe ? I was looking on Summit Racing and they have stainless Y's that should work. My main concern is how soon the drivers side curves after the split. It would take some time cutting and welding but looks doable and since it's winter I have plenty of time. Also was curious how much drone I would get from removing resonator with oem mufflers and no converter. Only reason would be a little weight saving.
