Wrapping my Header
#12
How much of a difference in heat reduction do you get by wrapping and painting the oem header with high temp bbq spray paint? Is it a noticeable enough difference? Could the wrap cause cracking in the long term?

No cracking civic has a wrapped header for 5 years now and that's a crappy eBay header not a nice heavy duty OEM piece.
I can hold my hand on the heat wrap on the header after driving it for a day
Underwood temps are waaaaaaay lower no heat ploom after you pop the hood.

Yea man its not that bad at all...
Things I have learned from this experience...
1. Measure 4 times, add 30" extra and cut once.. lol
2. Map out your wrapping plan...
3. I used a solid roll of 2"x50' and tapped into another because i made a few mistakes. So buy 1 50' and maybe a 25 or 15' just in case..
4. wear gloves and a long sleeve shirt you plan on throwing out anyway lol, this shit is itchy.
Hope this inspires you
