Hey Rich..what profile tire were you running in the rear when you rubbed? 40 or 35?

awesome you guys have helped me decide then. Im going with a veniteri wheel..give me a sec and I will post it. So maybe I wont rub at all then with a 18X9 rear 45 offset then..I plan on running a 245 35 18 tire in the rear. And I know the eibach springs dont lower too much. Im really hoping I dont have to run negative camber though because thats a problem I have now with these espelir springs Im dropped and the tires are wearing on the inside super quick.
Positive toe in the rear creates more wear then camber alone. Zero this out a bit and you will help save your tires, you will lose some rear stability/grip however, but its something you may have to work with. Its another option to bring to your attention anyway.

Nice looking wheels by the way, I cant tell if the sides of the inner mesh are painted or not because of the shadow effect. Solid is the way to go, I think rims with painted sides look cheap and tacky.

did you ever get an alignment after you installed the espelir springs?

i would rather run a 225 / 255 width combo, but that's going to be difficult with these wheels and offsets. if that's the wheel you want, then the tire sizes you put up are pretty ideal with the eibach springs.

i would run the uk alignment specs after install is finished and you should be fine.

thinks for all the responses guys. I did do an alignment several times after I lowered it..it just sits to low to get the camber just right..thats one reason why Im raising it up a bit with eibachs. I dont think the wheels are painted the mesh is supposed to be gunmetal with a polished lip.

That's a pretty nice looking wheel! If the deep lip is what you're going for, you may want to inquire as to whether the 45 offset gets the same look. For most wheels, it disappears with higher offsets. I'll bet you $20 that picture is a lower offset wheel.

I'm a little less optimistic about the fit (on the rear) than some, but I'll admit to being pretty conservative when picking wheels. I have a 9" wide +63 offset, with a 255 tire. Lowered ~1", and with -1.8 camber, I measure ~8mm of clearance horizontally from the fender lip to the edge of the tire. The wheels you're looking at have 18mm less offset, but you get 5mm of that back with the skinnier tire. That puts your wheel/tire combo 13mm further out than my setup. Remember, I only have 8mm clearance as it is, so I think this will rub. I suspect you'll either need more camber to make up 5mm+, or roll the fender.

That's not the final word, though. Tire profile is a factor for consideration too. Some are more rounded at the shoulder, others are more square. A rounded corner is more forgiving of aggressive offsets. That's one of the reason you see posts of "I rubbed" vs. "I never rub" when putting the same wheel on different cars.

Your tires shouldn't wear too bad if aligned properly. Even with negative camber. Like S2000junky said, camber+toe =tire wear.
I ran 35 profile tire in the rear, but like I said I was only at -2 degrees camber.

thanks for all the input guys.. I appreciate it. Yeah..Im gonna weigh my options with other wheels also..but it is really hard to find high offset wheels..which is why I see alot of people all have the same wheels..
