Default Will AP2 door inner panels fit flush with a AP1?

I would just like to make sure they don't clash with the dashboard shape before I make my purchase thanks!

Your trying to put ap2 door inserts into your ap1 panel? If so, they dont fit.

You can replace your entire ap1 door panel with an ap2, but you cannot swap out the inserts.

uhhhh I'm not sure if I'm using the right words.

I was planning on putting this in:

Is this considered a trim or a panel?

Ahh okay, those are complete door panels, so they will swap perfectly into your ap1.

You can remove the inserts on the panels, and people swap them out for different colors, but the ap1 and ap2 inserts are a little different so you can't swap those with eachother on ap1's and ap2's.

See here is my DIY door panel insert swap. I got OEM ap1 black inserts to replace my blue ap1 ones. People sometimes want to take the insert from ap2 panels, and put them into their ap1 panels, but that won't work.

Oh wow that's cool, that means later down the line I might be able to get red inserts without having to buy a whole new door panel. Thanks for the info!

No problem! Just make sure if you have ap2 panels, you get the new inserts from an ap2 also.

Maybe he wants to do his interior in blue...?

I love my 2 tone blue and black interior, I honestly dont see why more people don't do it.
