Default whats wrong with my invidia n1 exhaust?

Hey, I have a used invidia n1 that I haven't installed. Moreover, if I shake the exhaust or tilt from side to side it sounds like there is rock's rolling around. I did a little research. The best I could come up with is that some of the fiberglass insulation crystallized from heat cycling . Is there a way to mend this or does anyone think it will be a problem if I install it. Would it be plausible to repack it or something. Thank you.

Are there any dents on the canister? It sounds like the fiberglass has finally started to break apart and will cause a rattle sound at certain rpm's...Its common with many exhausts... There are shops that can cut open the can and repack it with new fiberglass. The last quote i got for an Amuse R1000 repack was $300. Not sure if it would cost that much for the N1 but just call around and check.

Might as well get the exhaust rewelded while it's still off. Invidia N1 is the worst exhaust I've ever had as far as the quality of their workmanshit. The plaque between the canisters that says Invidia, it breaks. The resinator blew apart from the pipe as well. Just have all the welds redone by someone local, save yourself the headache and get it done.

^^

It could be a hairline crack. That's what it was on my old Comptech Exhuast. Sounded like a rock rattling just like how you described.

There are no dents on the canister. I'm not sure if it rattles at certain rpms; I never installed it. Wow, $300... I picked up the exhaust for $100. When you got your exhaust redone. Did they just cut off the back of the canister? I think this is something I might do myself.

I don't think it's a crack, there is definitely something rolling around inside the canister.
