Default what is this part/sensor?

some very newb questions but...

what is this housing on the side of the intake manifold. It looks like a coolant related part and what is it's purpose? It looks like it routs to the TB, but I may be wrong.

secondly, what is this sensor on the far right side of the intake manifold and what is it for?

Finally, looking at the intake mani, there are a thousand and one vacuum hoses. What happens with them when itb's come into play? Are they all connected to the past tb flow?

There are also two giant hoses in the intake pipe right before the tb? What are they for?

Thanks.

First part is the IACV also known as the Idle air control valve. Not exactly sure why coolant flows through it but I know it helps control the idle. I blocked off the coolant to the throttle body and the IACV and the car runs better.

The 2nd part is the IAT sensor. Also known as the intake air temperature sensor which... well takes the temperature of the air going into the engine.

That hose going into the intake arm is for the air pump.

Not exactly sure what happens to all that once you get ITB's. I just know its a wiring/tubing nightmare lol Maybe someone on here with ITB's can help you out more.

The first one is your throttle cable. Check the deflection, if it deflects up or down by more than 1/4" than you need to tighten it. Search under the hood forum for more info about tightening your throttle cable.

He's not talking about the throttle cable, but the part behind it. Which is the IACV.

If you are running ITB's then you don't need the IAC.

Some itb's like jenveys use an air distributor to run the IAC for a smoother idle. So I would like to incorporate this, but am not sure on the details of how this works.
