IF YOU PEEL OFF THE MAT UNDER YOUR HOOD YOU CAN SEE THE SHAPE OF THE PATTERN THEY CUT IN THE HOOD. THEY JUST CUT THE HOOD OUT AND REPAINT!

I just had a shop do this for me last week, If the cut is clean enough/straight you dont need to repaint the cut areas.

From what i have read most people cut, sand the edges and just use some touch up paint to make it look OEM

I think i read in S-factors thread that he didn't have to repaint due to really good cuts but dont quote me sine its like a 27 page thread. However hes cut over 40 hoods or soemthing

S factor has done my old hood and will do my current hood. if the cuts and sanding/filing is good enough its hard to tell.
