Default Want to go to track, where can I get a roll bar?

I live in Rockville Maryland and I would like to take my car to a track. I need to get a roll bar installed. I have been looking around online and have found places to buy a roll bar but not a place that will install it. I would like to find a place that will do help me purchase and install a roll bar because I do not know what I am doing. Any help?

Do tracks require an aftermarket rollbar or do ours cut it and you juts want to upgrade?

If your head with a helmet clears the stock roll hoops, they'll probably let you on.

Every track is different. Some require rollbars for all convertibles. Others let you run with stock roll hoops.

All the tracks that I've been to are fine with the stock roll hoop for HPDEs.

Road America, Gingerman, Autobahn CC are all fine with it.

I got turned away once from blackhawk farms because it was a "race" style event. It was like a time attack. So I guess it depends on the people throwing the event as well.

another option might be to buy an oem hardtop. it's probably not as strong as a real roof, so i'm not sure if it flies with the tracks--you should call to find out. but as others said, it depends on the track. some are okay with your oem roll hoops, and others require a 2" clearance with your helmet on--so unless if you're really short, you wouldn't meet that requirement.

btw, not sure if you're near harddog (someone posted earlier in your thread) but if you are, go there. i heard they'd do a superb job. i personally have their rollbar in my car, but i installed myself.

i think he's asking for help on where to install it.

in that case, you'll need to go to your local region on these forums. they'll be able to help you since they are from the area.
