Default ViS Mugen SS replica bumper: Thoughts and review.

Hello everyone! I would like to give a review of a new Mugen SS replica bumper by ViS I ordered and installed. First, ViS had great communication with me. I had extended shipping time but shipping was totally free. I paid $417.00 just for the bumper itself. They gave me a called and give me all the information about why the shipping was extended and when it would be sent. They take the time to correct any defects to make sure you're getting a proper product. I waited about 20 days or so for it to ship and it took a week or so to get here, so about a month. When it arrived in it's huge box I felt like a kid on xmas haha

Here are some photos of when I first took it out of the box:

I needed some time to save the money to get it painted and adjusted. Some personal issues arose that I needed to take care of first, so I figured I'd do a test fit on the bumper to give me some motivation. Here are some photos of the initial install:

vvvThis part could be bumped up a little bit so it sat a little closer to the screw hole, this photo isn't a good representation, but it took some fiddling to get it better.vvv

Not long after, I got back on my feet and decided to pull the trigger to get the bumper painted and adjusted by the body shop. Took it in Monday and they had it all adjusted within 6 hours. It took until Thursday to get the car back. As I was pulling in to pick it up I caught a glance of them pulling it around. It almost genuinely brought a tear to my eye seeing this was the look I had wanted a litte after I first purchased the car. The paint was perfect and matched nearly perfect. The fitment is about a 9.0/10. Here are some pictures of the finished product:

My final thoughts and overall review: I've heard some horror stories about replica bumpers. I've seen some that fit so terribly, they don't even look like they were made for the car. Of course, before I received the bumper I had to look up the horror stories. I was horrified when I finally put it on, I'd be a victim of one of those stories. It was the complete opposite. I'm so unbelievably happy. My S legitimately is what I always pictured it looking like. I finally reached that "dream car" level. It's a feeling I can't describe. The feeling of finally being able to say "I did it." That look I've always wanted is no longer a dream. It's a reality. To anyone reading this, that's probably been searching for days and days like I was wanting a review of this particular bumper, here it is. Do it. You wont regret it. It's dead on with the real deal. It even comes with the radiator airflow deflector thing that comes with the legit Mugen. I've had friends tell me it's one of the best reps they've seen when it comes to fitment and overall closeness to the real deal. If you had the legit Mugen tow hook cap on it, most if not all people wouldn't be able to tell the it was a rep.

Overall experience with ViS: 10/10
Overall fitment before adjustment: 7.8/10
Overall fitment after adjustment: 9.5/10
Overall happiness with the product: 11/10
Recommend: Yes!

Thanks for reading!

Glad you like the replica bumper.

Replica parts don't generally fit well, and that's okay to some. Even if they were to fit perfectly, there is one piece of my heart gives me crap about it. I just know I don't want a replica part on my car.

BUT, it does look very nice. Cheers!

That looks really good, nice price too, VIS is a decent company, better than many replica companies out there.

Get that rust spot touched up on the front fender, it sticks out like a pimple now that the new bumper is minty fresh, and you don't want it to spread.

Thanks very much man. Yeah, I'm against most reps, but bumpers I don't really care about. For me, spending $2,300 on a bumper for a daily doesn't seem like a good idea nor can I justify it haha.

Thanks man! Yeah price was fantastic. Jumped on it asap. Will probably knock out that spot in a couple days. It's been bugging me pretty bad lol.
