I commend you for giving the DIY path a go. I just bought enough matte black for my stock wheels and plan to start when all of it arrives. After that I was gonna wrap the hood and trunk with that 3D DINOC Carbon Fiber. After endeavoring to take on the whole car at once, were the hood and trunk easier than the rest of the car or is it about the same all over? Just curious 'cause I was planning to do small sections at a time as well until eventually the whole exterior was changed.

Koala, you are the man for this. what do you do for the end pieces ie the edges of the hood or fender - It just sticks nicely?
Looking forward to a finished product, my car is a duster in winter time so i might do this some day.

We also did the trunk, which was much easier

Using the heat gun, it allows the vinyl to stretch a lot. then its just about pushing it into place. It was the hardest thing to do. I messed up a little. If I did it again, it would come out much better. But for it being the first time I've done this, it turned out great. If you were to look at it up close you would see some imperfections, but if you just walk around the car you wont see many at all. I can take closer pics if you guys want.
