Well I started doing the mod to let the top go down while the cars in motion. Started out well, snipped the black/white wire and tested (top still works). I then went to the left harness as I wanted to bypass the e brake completely and I snipped the green/white wire and spliced the end coming from the connector to one of the negative wires on the harness. Only mistake I can see that I did is I left the key on when I went to splice that wire and there was a spark and now the top won't go up or down. The windows don't roll down with the convertible top button either but roll down regularly. The e brake light comes on as it should. I'm guessing a fuse or something blew when the razor blade hit the wire but I checked the two relays under the hood and they appear fine? Really need to get the top up ASAP as it's supposed to rain later and I have no way to cover the car. Appreciate the help!

Well the FAQ on the top down mod states that you should not cut the green/white wire. Did you cut it?

Yeah I cut the green and white wire to ground it. Looks like i didn't look close enough at the motor fuse under the hood had a very small hole in it. Replaced and now the top works perfect with the e brake non engaged and with the car moving. Thanks!
