Default Throttle Body Upgrade Benefits

After entering throttle body in the search forum bar and going back a few pages, I was surprised to not find what I needed. Can someone explain the advantage of a throttle body upgrade for an S2000. Is it worth it? What precautions can you offer before I order one up. What size should I get for a stock NA engine (K&N shorty intake only).

Thanks

Two choices come to mind: Science of Speed TB (OEM ported to 70mm) or Full Blown 74mm billet TB. You can find more info in the FI forum, because a larger TB opening makes a noticeable difference for FI cars. Agreed, you'll need a tune to make sure you get the benefits from doing this.

I've got the SOS TB and it works great. I think it's supposed to add 6-10hp to a supercharged car. Dyno plots are on SOS's website.

To get the most out of it you'll need a tune. You're throttle "tip in" will need some more fuel, on top of what the TB does to the powerband.

Sounds certainly like a non-bolt on part. Might have to wait after I have a different DD than the S.

You can bolt it on and be fine. But if you want the most out of it, you'll need a tune. Just make sure you calibrate the TPS.

are any of the oem s2000 tbs bigger one any certain year?and when rocking my h22 back in the day stock was 60mm and i added an ap1 65mm i think it was tb to the car drove fine no tune was great, however, when i added my str 68mm tb and calibrated the tps it drove like crap, dumping fuel and just wasnt right, until i tuned it, so are there any slightly bigger tbs that can be bolton friendly moreso w.out a tune?
