Default Throttle body spacer(p2r)

I am looking at getting one on my 01 s2k but people r saying they make no difference. They give good power on a tuned k series. There has to be somewhat of a tq gain and hp gain. Does anyone have a dyno of before and after with one?

What is it supposed to do? If it's just a thicker gasket for the throttle body, I don't see how that would do anything.

I've had these on my other car (TB and IM thermal spacers). Temps decreased and a slight increase in hp/tq.

Here's a link on a company that makes these: http://www.outlawengineering.com/index.html

um, i dont think its that same thing u guys are thinking. im thinking about something that acts like a tornado.

http://throttlebodyspacer.com/

"The throttle body spacer causes the incoming air charge to tumble for better atomization of the mixture downstream in the combustion chamber.

In other words a throttle body spacer will yield a much greater fuel burn efficiency, which in turn will improve performance and improve fuel economy!"

sounds like a tornado to me.

No, throttle body spacers are nothing like a tornado. All they actually do is increase the plenum volume behind the throttle body. Adding throttle response.

All the rest of that website is bullshit.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some extra power to be made from a larger intake plenum, but I believe throttle response decreases as plenum volume increases.
