Throttle body spacer?

i agree with street ruler on the whole tornado crap. its a small piece of plastic... seems like something cheap to break... correct me if im wrong street, but i think the helix(swirls) is the best thing to get.like he said before. can the length of the spacer affect anything? that is assuming i can find a thicker one.

uh...well...an inch vs 3/4 ish. i dunno about custom lengths really it would take a dyno to prove eitehr. i would guess that the larger (up to about an inch and a quarter at the very max) would work. id shoot for an inch or so.
its more about how the helix is cut rathr than the thickness
if it doesnt have the helix its really just barely worth mroe than nothing.

but the helix really does give it more power? you say in a prelude you got 6hp? thats a pretty big gain cause it probly be similar(1hp or so difference?) in the s2000. for only $95 thats a deal. and slightly better mileage will buy itself back over time..

oh sorry, didnt really answer you did i my bad
yah its all about the helix thats where the "swirl" effect comes in. its generated by the helix. you gotta remember that air flows alot like water (so ive been told by aerospace engineers). picture the helix like a....rock in the river or an island in the middle of a chanel. it redirects the flow of water. the helix does the same
the helix generates more power by better mixing the air and fuel as it enters the cylinder head channels. i guess the long and short of it is, make sure its got a helix. if it doesnt have that dont bother.

actually thats a good question cause i have one too... and aint no way im loosing that thing. unless somehow that spacer makes loads mroe power than my AEM. but from looking at my car, it shouldnt. sticking it out less than an inch further wont change anything on the intake i dont think. it deffinetly doesnt look like it will

no i looked at the V2 and mine actually has a lot of space up front and is almost touching near the back. so moving it up a tad bit might actually help keep it from rubbing anything... and that seems like it would be fine. no 22 hp gains im sure, but says its a helix so...
